T2S0nn SyncVid A/v sync test video files (PROVISIONAL INFORMATION) Overview
Software & hardware for real-time playout on HD-SDI The SyncVid video is in the form of files supplied on either USB disk or BluRay disk: in order to play these out on an HD-SDI link, relevant hardware and software is required. This can be done either using a customer’s own video server or other similar hardware, or using software and hardware provided by TestVid: TvidsNXS/3G and TvidsNXS/LHi are software & hardware bundles that provide real time playout capabilities on HD-SDI. (The TvidsNXS/3G has dual link hardware and can support 3D; the TvidsNXS/LHi has lower cost single link hardware.)

(1) ‘Talking head’ video for lip-sync checking: 3 different English speakers are included (one with a British accent, one with a US accent, one with a Caribbean accent). Each speaker is reading a well-know set of prose, with the lips being clearly visible. The speakers have different skin tones. The voice of the speakers is on the Left audio channel (2) Moving blip on-screen, corresponding with an audible blip at one second intervals (on the Right audio channel) (3) Grey ramp check, to ensure that grey scales are encoded/displayed correctly (4) SMPTE color bars (5) Moire pattern/curved resolution check (6) Vertical resolution check (7) Diagonal resolution check (8) Color ramp checks: primary colors on the left; pastel colors on the right (9) Single field high line, that should move smoothly if field order is correct - or will move forwards and back if field order incorrect (10) Timecode frame counter (11) Text readability check (12) Black/white and red/green single pixel wide lines at edges, for clipping check (13) Frame counter (binary code) - for future use |
